Darkpark is an alternative rock band currently breathing and making its unique music in Vermont. Guitarist singer songwriter Larry Flynn is the artist who animates darkpark. Mr. Flynn has lived in Vermont for several years since migrating from California. He has performed throughout the state and the northeast as a member of Liquid Dead and Blues for Breakfast. He has performed and recorded with members of Phish, Cake, the Dregs, Greyboy, the Kinetics and many more. Larry created Darkpark when he recorded an album of his original songs with friend and producer Jon Erickson . Featuring some talented musicians including drummer Todd Roper, keyboardist Dan Eisenberg and guest organist Robert Walter , 'Darkpark' was made at The Hangar in Sacramento, California and Wallysound in Oakland,Ca. The record stands as document of an artist emerging. Mr. Flynn creates unusual, emotionally charged songs that draw on influences as diverse as Robert Johnson, Neil Young and the Grateful Dead to u2, the Smiths and the Libertines. Inspired musicianship, uniquely intimate lyrics and solid elegant grooves all coexist on this record.
